though the fight is long and hard, the party eventually defeat all of the Broos without taking significant damage. Searching through the rest of the cave complex they find living quarters, food stocks and a temple area. In the temple area is the headless body of a middle to old age human, tied between two posts. The temple looks as if it has been hurredly cleared.

The party came under spell attack during the fight but have not been able to find the caster.

After burrying the corpse in a shallow grave the party return to New Pavis and seek out Scholar Jennings. He is distressed to hear of his friends death but is even more distressed by the method of his death. He asks the party to return with him tomorrow.

Clayday, Fertility week, Sea Season, 1617

At first light the party head for the People Gate and meet with Scholar Jennings who is accompanied by 4 heavily armed warriors, two of which are probably worshippers of Stormbull from their appearance.

The group heads back to the cave and seraches it. Scholar Jennings is very interested in the temple area and spends much time searching it. After he has finished he bids the body of his friedn be uncovered and that they should take it back to the city. As they head back he tells the party that he fears that this was a temple to Thanatar, the Chaos god and he is very concerned.

Fireday, Fertility week, Sea Season, 1617

After a couple of days of rest, the party is once again summoned by Scholar Jennings. He tells them that he has been asked to recommend a group of adventurers who can be trusted to take a raft down the river to the port of Corflu. The trader who needs the party is called Mr. Ingilli and is one of the more successful traders in the city.

The party go to see Mr. Ingilli who asks them to take two packages of papers and some minor trade goods by river to his agent in Corflu. He will pay 500L now and 500L in Corflu for the task. He also offers training in Swimming and also Rafting. The party accepts and he hands over two packages, one to XingiBulawayo and one to RurikLondro.
