A week goes by and the party train and prepare for the trip south. Trade goods are bought by party members in addition to those from Mr. Ingilli.

Fireday, Stasis week, Sea Season, 1617

The party set out from Pavis and head down the river. It should take 2 weeks to get to Corflu and 3 weeks to come back.

Windsday, Movement week, Sea Season, 1617

The party are happily saling along the Zola Fel when suddenly their raft is flug into the air. People are scattered everywhere and they fall into horribly turbulant river and start to drown. All then pass out.

Slowly they awaken. The are lying on a mud beach, wet and dirty carrying only the posessions they had to hand on the raft. As they slowly come round they discover that there are a number of Baboons who are trying to take their remaining possessions. Understandibly the party are not keen on this and the baboons retreat in the face of serious opposition. The leader of the Baboons (called Chuff) calms his troop and real violence is avoided (especially after the party heal the damage they have already done).

The party also discover that there are 3 runes (Water, Movement and Harmony) now marked onto the palms of their right hands. These have appeared from nowhere.

The party ask where they are and discover that they are less than a days travel from Corflu (they have traveled a very long way!). The Baboons agree to guide them to the city but wont go to close (the locals do not always like Baboons). After several hours of walking through the marshes, they spot a boat being poled along by two men. They hale them and ask for a lift, leaving the Baboons behind with the gift of a couple of metal daggers.

The two rivermen are Saky and Dagis who are quiet to start with but get more excited as they listen to the parties tale and even more so when they see the stigmata runes on their hands. They tell the party that Water and Movement are the runes of Zola Fel but dont know what they Harmony rune is for. They tell the party to talk to Reverend Sa'ar when they reach Corflu, also that they would be best to avoid the notice of the Lunars who (whilst normally reasonable enough) are want to react harshly to people who upset them.
