Gathering the plants the party beat a hasty retreat back towards New Pavis. Some debate is had over wether to look for more plants but they decide to call it quits. At the Peoples Gate, the Lunar guards are quite amused at the haul of plants that the party have, advising them of several very dangerous breeds of Daisy that exist near TheGarden?. After disarming, they enter the city and go to the street where DavarWoson? has his shop but it cannot be found. Questioning several of the local shop keepers they soon find out that no one has heard of either him or his shop.

The party split up, most going to sort out some more permenant accomodations for (2 three man apartments with s regular cook). They then goto the LankhorMhy? temple and talk to one of the initiates (ScolarJennings?) and tell them of their encounters with the giant ants - they even get to see the great Map room which holds a huge map of the Rubble on one wall and a scale model on a large table (though they are told not to touch). The sages identify the smelly plants as Lesser Stinkwirt (of no real value, generally found near the river) are greatful for the information on the ants providing them with a note for temple credit.

XingiBulawayo takes the bag of plants out to the Zebra pens where he hides them.

SnommI however heads over to see some of his contacts to ask about DavarWoson? and after describing him is told that it sounds like DavarWolfson a fairly notorious tough and practical joker who hangs with a tough group of adventurers, mercenaries and other Orlanthi types. Suspecting some kind of prank the party goto GimpysTavern where they find DavarWolfson (in leather armor) along with a large group of his friends. DavarWolfson takes the opportunity to poke fun at the party.

They party are somewhat confused - DavarWolfson obviously sent them on a fools errand but what were the plants doing there? Eager for some revenge, XingiBulawayo goes and fetches the plants and SnommI organises for one of them to be made into a sandwich to be given to DavarWolfson. He is surprised by the foul smelling butty and starts to demand to know what is going on, the party then explain that it is one of the planst he asked for. He tells them that there are no such plants, at which point his friends start to howl with laughter. The prankster has been outpranked.

DavarWolfson reluctantly agrees to pay the money for the five plants and his frineds join in a good hearted celebration. Much beer is consumed during which the party start being called "The Plant Hunters" by some of the locals.

Waterday, Death week, Sea Season, 1617

A banging on the door of their apartment wakes the party from their sleep early next morning. A robed man who calls himself ScolarMayhew? from the temple of IrrippiOntor?. He is eager to hear first hand the details of the giant ants and goes on to offer the party a reward for example ants, either dead or alive. As people are generally hungover they dont pay a great deal of attention and even let the scribe leave without paying them for the information. XingiBulawayo chases after him and eventually manages to extract a small amount of temple credit.

Thinking that there may be some money to be made, they go to the LankhorMhy? temple and seek out ScolarJennings? and tell him of ScolarMayhews? offer. He also offers to pay them for example soldier and worker ants (either dead or alive).

They party split up and go in search of strong nets and possibly a couple of large crates
