Windsay, Harmony week, Sea Season, 1617

Whilst scouting ahead, Xingi finds a pole stuck into the ground in the middle of the track. It is decorated with strings of small bones and feathers. A qucik check of the area reveals the fresh tracks of several Baboons. When the wagons arrive, HonestSamual instructs that them to break early for lunch and that this is a parley stick - obviously the Baboons want to talk.

After about half an hour a Baboon walks out of the scrub and HonestSamual goes to talk to him. The conversation is animated and after five minutes the Baboon pulls the parley stick out of the ground and stomps off into the bushes. When he returns, HonestSamual tells the others that the Baboon had demanded reparations for the Baboons killed on the raid - which he of course denied. He is somewhat concerned and orders the wagons to move faster. The train does not camp until after dark that night.

Fireday, Harmony week, Sea Season, 1617

During the night, the camp is attacked by more Baboons. The open the raid with a number of Befuddle spells which take XingiBulawayo, Varlack and RurikLondro out fo the fight, only SnommI resisted the spell and raised the alarm. GarrickOpenhand? and Ardv who had been sleeping in their armour joined in the fight. This raid appear more co-ordinated than the previous one. During the fight, someone cast a Detect Magic spell. Various items on HonestSamual and his bodyguard glowed as did something from the forth wagon. Further Baboons arrived and rushed for the forth wagon, one of which managed to get inside - he quickly jumped back out again but was killed by an arrow to the head from SnommI before he could get too far. Just as further Baboons arrived, XingiBulawayo, Varlack and RurikLondro all recover from the Befuddle spell and moved to attack them.
