The players are called in to See Che'en the High Priest who informs them he has had a vision from ZolaFel? that they are near the end of their quest. He wishes them well.
Armed with more climbing equipment they head back into the rubble. At Ogre island they find a number of dead fish and other debris around the hole, surmising that their must have been some kind of geaser or erruption from below, they procede into the tunnels.
They reach the main chamber again and slowly advance to the large pool. A rock is thrown into the water but nothing immediately happens then a strange musical voice starts to be heard speaking is a foriegn language. It appears to he speaking to the mind of each person and not through the air. Deciding this is a good reason to start the attack the party cast Water breathing and dive in.
In the merky waters of the pool they find a large bloated humanoid about 4m in height. Attacking it, he responds by casting a stream of disruption spells. After a long fight, the creature also casts several Rune spells, one of which withers GarrickOpenhand? 's arm but it is eventually defeated.
The party search the area and find some teasure and magic then head back outside.
The waiting Zola Fel cultists are extatic to have them back - all have felt the please of ZolaFel? at the defeat of the poluter. The River Voices are carried home to a huge celebration.
