Shared World Meta Rules

s with a normal Role-playing game New Gallo has to have some Meta Rules. Normally these are under the control of the referee and players that are not happy vote with their feet (i.e. do not play). As New Gallo is a Shared World this would not work, as there might be disagreements between several referees etc.

Hence in New Gallo there are specific rules:

    1. Anything that is to do with the general Campaign Background is the sole province of the Referees, and disagreement will be resolved by a vote amongst them.
    2. The Players (including the Referees) may ask for a vote to change anything else in the game. This vote is binding on the Shared World.
    3. The voting rules are Players get one vote. Referees two. The Original Designer gets a third vote to be used only to end a dead lock.
    4. Referees control specific areas of the map or NPCs, and may place standing orders over them. The standing orders cannot be violated without the Referee being there and, or giving consent. These locations or NPCs have a 'plot protection order' on them unless the Controlling Referee says otherwise.
