Part 6 - Key Bones

Play date: Wed 11th April 2007

Charaters: [Fu Do Komadori], [Daiginjoshu Chowei]

Campaign date: ([Taian]) 8th day of Tsuki-mi-zuki (8th Luna Month), Year of the Negative Water Pig (7 Kitohana)

Weather: Sunny Autumn Day

Scene One - The Hook

Campaign date: 10:30 (Hour of Greater Serpent)

[Komadori] and [Chowei] have the day off family duties so spend the day 'fishing' up near the pond, [Furuiko]. They spot a large Carp and through more luck than anything else manage to land it. The Carp has a small scroll in its mouth.

"Lucky mortals, because of my new found elevation to Dragon of this Stream, I gift to you my old skin and bones. Follow up stream to discover them."

"Dragon of the [Shinzawa]"

Both of them head up stream with hope of finding the Dragon Bones.

Scene Two - The Line

Campaign date: Noon (Hour of Lesser Horse)

After a while the group come across a strange old man wearing expensive silks in a very old fashion. He tells them that he is locked out of his home. He leads them to the side of a hill and tells them he lives in there. The search and find an ancient stone covered by bushes. They move them away and it is covered in a strange seal script like kanji. [Komadori] and [Chowei] then dig around the stone and find a passage way in. using large bits of bamboo that they chop down from the lake edge the leaver the stone enough to skeas in. The passageway which is only about 1m by 1m goes off into the darkness.

Scene Three - The Sinker

Campaign date: 15:30 (Hour of Lesser Monkey)

[Komadori] goes off in search of a light in a local cave he know of but returns with nothing. [Chowei] attempts to make a fire with only a knife and a stone and some dry wood shavings. After some effort he creates a fire and they make a touch with the wood [Komadori] has collected from a 'woodcutter' he met.

The explore passageway which opens into a chamber. They are told to leave by a status of a warrior. [Chowei] using a yari made from a bamboo pole a tanto smash the status. On further exploration thy find a conceded passageway which leads on to a further chamber. In the chamber is lots of pots. There is some form of ashes with a pattern in it. They destroy the pattern and the ghost goes back to his urn. He say that they can keep the other pots as reward. They take 15 of the 30 of so pots. They take them to the local shinto priest and tell him about the new dragon and they tomb. He investigates one of the pots and says it is a healing salve of some power but it potaincy runs out after a few weeks of being opened. They dicided to keep the other pots closed until they can figure out the writing on the outside.
