Ref: RuneQuest - Races in Pavis

RULE1 - Please leave your preconceptions at the door! Most things are not the same as other Fantasy RPGs!

All of these races can be playing Pavis. Remember, some are more welcome than others and racial prejedice exists....

Humans

The most populous and widespread race in the world. Reasonable all rounders. There are various SocialGroups you could have originated from. Humans control Pavis.

Trolls

These are large, strong creatures who prefer the dark (they are at a disadvantage in day light). Very tough but few in number. They can eat almost anything.

Trollkin

The trolls were cursed several hundred years ago. Since then the majority of offspring have been Trollkin. They are much smaller (only up to 5ft tall) and are second class citizens in the troll realms. Occasionally used as a food source.

Dwarves

Short, tough. Prefer to live underground. Have a semi hive-mind. Not really a viable PC class - any "individuals" are regarded by some as heretics.

Elves

Have a very close relationship with their trees. You damage their tree and you hurt them. Generally dont travel far from their forests. Rarely seen, an Elf in a party will soon make the party refered to as "the one with the elf". Other elves regard their bretherin who spend large amounts fo time away from the forest as at best unstable and at worst completely mad.

Ducks

A bit of a joke that stuck. These people average about 3.5-4ft tall and have arms instead of wings. Very few in number and often persecuted. Reknown for fighting undead.

Newtlings

Amphibious beings from the rivers and seas. Good in/on water but small and weak.

Baboons

(Semi) Intelligent apes. Fine if you want to get into fights every time someone calls you a monkey....

Morocanth

One of the tribes of Prax. They are intelligent bi-pedal herbivors who hurd humans.
