[slink personality=profile] MXB AI Test and Design report - executive summary Highly confidential.

The MXB Rev2 is designed to put soldiers at ease by being eager to please and has actually picked up a sense of humour along the way. 91011 is known as "Yojimbo" after the character from the ancient Akira Kurosawa's movie with the same name. In combat it is happy and optimistic but at the same time focused, during downtime it is well-mannered with a voice not unlike that of HAL9000 in the ancient seminal movie 2001.

91012 is known as "WeaponX?", in tests it has been found to be very
disciplined, but will occasionally act like a trigger-happy "Dirty Harry" kind of character from the ancient movies of that name (never to the point of disobeying orders though). The exposure to early movies during AI training has now been reviewed after the effects on "WeaponX?", however there is no indication that this AI is anything less than suitable for combat missions. In between the excitement and the action, "WeaponX?" is really rather reserved and prefers the company of other AI's over humans.

Testers note, during field trials "Weapon X" was actually recorded as transmitting the following; "I know what you're thinking, did I fire 4095 bolts of plasma or 4096? To tell you the truth I kind of lost track myself, what with all the excitement. You just gotta ask yourself, do I feel lucky. Well. Do ya, punk?"
