So far the party have arrived on planet, bugged DawnLafite and three OldColleagues of DoctorH, then acidentally kill the good Professor Ormod Elderheart, while trying to stun him, and kidnap him, they then copied all his old diaries, and sent them to the ship to be decrypted. They then attepted to search Nathen Gilliam but were driven back by his guard pets, but are conviced he is not at home.
