A Ring of Hobgoblins

: Part of this adventure is taken from [Dungeon] xx and this write up will contain spoilers, if your referee is likely to run adventures from Dungeon please read no further.

: AelfricSmithson had set of a day later and arrives just after the group had defeated the water elemental.

: MrYoung sacrefises some of his energy to LordStarLight (3kp) and requests a new Fire Gift FireEyes? (3kp). The group see a bright blue beam come from him and enter the campfire and two coals come out of it and enter his eyes. When looking at MrYoung's eyes you can now see a flame inside his eye balls.

: The two rouges head down the coridoor omce more looking for traps and arrive at the end where there is a portcullis that leads into a guard room. The ocupents are unawair of the parties approch. Looking in the room they see 6 Hobgoblin in a VectorRing of power (I this arrangement allows one of them to use the power of the other 5 when he dies the next takes his place).

: ReinarTheFaceless desguses himself as a sick goblin and attracked the attention of one of the goblins that are serving the stupified hobgoblins with a gem. The goblin falls for it and tries to get the gem. ReinarTheFaceless put the gem to far from the portcullis to get the gem hopping he will open it, but the goblin is much to weedy to do this. Instead he goes and gets three orcs to look at the sick goblin and plans to pick up the gem when no one is looking.

: two orcs open the gate whilst the other and the goblin watch ReinarTheFaceless. Just as the gate is opened enough for the party to rush in, ReinarTheFaceless throws two daggers killing the goblin and almost the orc. The rest of the party rushes into the room.

: One of the orc awakens the 'Head of the Ring' of Hobgoblins, there is a mass melee. The Hobgoblin uses a charm power on the group which stops there 'normal' actions. The party still fight with only there miricales. The Head of the ring has 3 mundane action and is slowly defeated. ReinarTheFaceless starts to kill one of the others in the ring in the hope of weaking the head. The next in the chain wakes up as does the otherside of the now dead one in the middle. Another is killed that is still providing power. The two new heads are kill and the newly waking ones in the ring are quickly dispatched along with the other orcs.

: Just as they are finishing the guard room off 30 or so Orc charge into the room from within the complex. 5 or so are killed defending the doorway. Thye sacrifies 8 of there number to push the party away from the door and they are closed. MrYoung give GeveryChambertain a bull strength potion and he then using his fire cleaver over 5 minutes cut and smashes his way though the thick oak doors (think of the scean in StarWars1? when the jedi are cutting there way into the ships command room, there was lots of jokes about 'we will not survive this', 'not possible' as likely orc comments from the otherside.

: The orcs have wisely retired to defeated from across a very small river. GeveryChambertain charges at the 13 or so orc on the otherside that though there spears as one, GeveryChambertain gets three Surfaces wounds and jumps and knocks them all over (Strike was the shout). The party pepers the orcs with arrows whilst GeveryChambertain kills the rest.

: The rest of the lower complex is explored and 5 large breading / living quaters are found for the orc, goblins and kobolds. GeveryChambertain perswards most of them to leave and as there best warriors are dead they leave gladly. In one chamber there is a young wizards and he uses a fire ball wand on GeveryChambertain. He is at ground zero and if it was not for his Fire Durant her would have been tosted. He clubs the young orc and kills him. The wand is taken.

: They find that there is a spirial stair case going up with a lot of the suplies that have been stolen from the merchants as they travelled allong EndlessStreet. MrYoung searches the stairs and finds a trap. ReinarTheFaceless looks with TheSight? and see that there is a small deamon guarding the way and says he can pass but will not say anymore. The group desiced that they will not accept the word of the deamon and thing as GeveryChambertain is still badly hurt from the fire ball spell they should return home.

: The group carry the food out of the dungeon and leave it for the other goblins and orc or the hag to eat, working on the priciple that without the food the DireHand and his men will be weekend.
